Punkin meets a giraffe

Punkin met a giraffe for the first time today.  Every time that the giraffe went in for some leaves to eat Punkin laughed and laughed.  It was pretty awesome.  I'm glad that she's not terrified of the animals.  I see tons of kids that are just petrified of the gorillas.  I guess they are a little bit intimidating sometimes.
Punkin is eating solid foods.   She just started this week.  Her daddy seems to have the magic feeding touch but I feel like I'm holding my own.  You would think that after hand-raising a bunch of monkey babies I'd be a little bit better but monkey babies don't use spoons so I'm a little behind.
"Solid" food is kind of a misnomer, don't you think?  There is absolutely nothing solid about rice cereal mixed with breastmilk.  It's more like soup.  Or gruel.
